Ram Charan‘s highly anticipated film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has secured Andhra Pradesh ticket hike approval ahead of its June 4 release. While Telangana has not yet granted permission, the AP government has greenlit both a special premiere show and increased rates for the opening 10 days.
₹600 Premiere Show on June 3
The Andhra Pradesh government has permitted Peddi to hold a special premiere show on June 3 at 8 PM with a ticket price of ₹600 (including GST) across all screens. This follows a pattern of premium pricing for major releases in recent months.
10-Day Ticket Hike in Andhra Pradesh
From Day 1 (June 4) through Day 10, Peddi will enjoy hiked ticket rates with an additional ₹100 for single screens and ₹125 for multiplexes. The AP government has been gradually refining its approach to ticket hikes, balancing industry demands with consumer interests.
| Period | Single Screens | Multiplexes |
|---|---|---|
| Premiere (June 3) | ₹600 | ₹600 |
| Days 1-10 (June 4-13) | ₹247 | ₹302 |
| Day 11 onwards | ₹147 | ₹177 |
From Day 11, Peddi will revert to regular pricing, with single screens charging ₹147 and multiplexes ₹177. The differential approval status between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana highlights the differing regulatory approaches in the two Telugu states.
